The Center for Shock Trauma and Anesthesiology Research/Trauma Research in the School of Medicine is recruiting for a C1 (contractual) Research Assistant, Clinical position. The position is responsible for assisting with the performance of research projects in a clinical setting, including recruitment of potential study subjects and collection and organization of data. The Research Assistant, Clinical is expected to work independently and knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. The position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast past environment on projects including federally funded studies and industry sponsored drug and device trials. The research may focus on any of the primary areas of research to include trauma resuscitation, traumatic brain injury, post traumatic complications, neuro-intensive care, clinical outcomes, critical care, sepsis, or acute lung injury. UMB requires all faculty, staff, and students to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions for medical or religious reasons will be processed through Human Resources. This position is temporary full-time/non-benefitted.
