The Clinical Research Assistant will primarily be responsible for: Screening and recruiting new project participants Assisting with organization and scheduling of study appointments Obtaining informed consent from eligible participants Assisting in the collection of biospecimens from patients This position will actively ensure adherence to research protocols, procedures, reporting requirements and/or facility regulations are being followed. The Clinical Research Assistant will also be assist with research project administrative activities.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a health-related field or a diploma in a health-related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a research environment.
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, flexibility, initiative and independent decision-making skills.
  • Critical/analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to safeguard confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
