About The Position

Perform synthetic work for the synthesis of eumelanin model compounds. Conduct NMR / EPR / UV-Vis spectroscopy experiments on these model compounds. Prepare written reports. Presentations of all conducted experiments.

Requirements

• Proven track record of working independently, interpreting results and drawing conclusions for the design and execution of subsequent experiments.
• Knowledge in organic synthesis to design and execute multi-step synthesis.
• BSc (Hons.) in chemistry with 2.5 years of laboratory experience.
• Previous experience in organic synthesis and EPR, NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Willing to work in the province of Quebec.
• English communication both verbally and in writing.
