This role supports the Information Technology division in migrating the home-grown Marketing Portal to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). Reporting to the PMO Director, the Research Analyst will work closely with the Salesforce Development Director and the migration delivery team. The position involves analyzing existing and potential marketing technology capabilities, prospective consumer audiences, and legacy portal performance data. Findings will be compiled into reports and presentations for IT leadership, marketing stakeholders, and program staff. The analyst will conduct current-state discovery of the legacy Marketing Portal, documenting campaigns, audience segments, email templates, automation workflows, reporting artifacts, and integration touchpoints in a systems library. Responsibilities include supporting data-mapping activities between the legacy portal and SFMC objects, analyzing legacy campaign performance data to establish a reporting baseline for SFMC, and assisting the PMO with tracking migration milestones, dependencies, action items, and risk registers. The role also involves supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), change management, and end-user readiness activities, as well as interfacing with marketing and outreach end-users to capture workflow nuances and requirements. A general working knowledge of governmental documents and procedures, including privacy, PII handling, and HIPAA considerations, is required. Adherence to all security, change control, and PMO policies, processes, and methodologies is mandatory.
