About The Position

The Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (MNHS) Faculty Office is seeking to appoint an experienced Research Administrative Officer to provide high-quality research administration support that enables the delivery of initiatives and programs supporting the growth and development of researchers and research activity across the Faculty. This role will play an important part in coordinating research support services, including the administration of internal grant schemes and awards, supporting major grant and fellowship application initiatives, and contributing to activities that strengthen research capability. Working closely with researchers, professional staff and senior leaders, this position will also coordinate a range of research-related activities, including workshops, seminars and events, prepare reports and documentation, analyse data and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in research administration within the higher education sector.
  • Strong project coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply data analysis tools including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Present valid and current Australian work rights.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time and plan work to meet deadlines.
  • High-level analytical skills and a demonstrated capacity to develop and implement effective techniques and research processes and systems.
  • Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based data analysis.
