About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Reporting Analyst to join their Revenue Operations team. This role is responsible for building, automating, and distributing new reports or updating existing ones to drive improvements and identify opportunities within Revenue Operations. The analyst will develop report requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and identify/aggregate necessary data. The position requires understanding data sources, pulling and using data across multiple databases (e.g., EDW, SQL), and integrating it into other databases or reports. The analyst will also write requirements, design, build, and automate complex reports using advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and Tableau, ensuring data capture at multiple points in time and minimizing production time. Timely and error-free production of reports and ad hoc requests, along with troubleshooting front-end and back-end issues, are key responsibilities. The role also involves initiating and maintaining communication with facilities to ensure accurate receipt of patient insurance coverage information. The analyst needs to understand how metrics interrelate and impact business outcomes, proactively identify potential impacts of proposed changes on report accuracy and functionality, and translate data into actionable knowledge through recurring reports. Identifying issues, escalating them to the proper stakeholders, and proposing solutions are also part of the role. Project and stakeholder management includes developing report requirements, leading working sessions, directing next steps within work streams, communicating roadblocks, and maintaining project plans. Building collaborative partnerships with stakeholders is essential. General duties include attending team meetings, phone conferences, and training, adhering to teammate guidelines and company procedures, and maintaining consistent, punctual attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in analytics
  • SQL, EDW, Excel, and Tableau advanced knowledge and experience
  • Query building advanced knowledge and experience

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three (3) years' healthcare reimbursement experience preferred
  • experience with admissions, billing, and collections preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance rules, regulations and Coordination of Benefits for federal, state, and managed care payors in multiple states preferred
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required

Responsibilities

  • Understanding where to get data, how to pull it & how to use it across multiple databases (ex. EDW, SQL) in order to integrate into another database or report
  • Writes requirements, designs, builds and automates complex reports utilizing advanced skills in tools such as Excel, SQL and Tableau (ex. Utilizing multiple different data sources, representing data capture at multiple points in time, designed in a way that automates & minimizes production time)
  • Produces reports & ad hoc requests timely and error free; responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise including both front-end and back-end report issues
  • Initiate and/or maintain ongoing communication with facilities to ensure timely and accurate receipt of each patient's insurance coverage information
  • Understands how metrics within a report are interrelated and impact business outcomes
  • Proactively raises awareness for how proposed changes may impact report accuracy & functionality
  • Translates data into actionable knowledge for the business through building of recurring reports
  • Utilizes understanding of report data to identify issues & escalates to proper stakeholders once identified; identifies root cause & proposes solutions
  • Develops report requirements by collecting input from business partners
  • Effectively leads working sessions
  • Directs & executes on next steps within work streams for which they are responsible
  • Proactively communicates around roadblocks and creates/maintains project plan
