About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring sufficient quantities of merchandise are available for filling orders by retrieving and placing freight on stocking shelves or conveyors, and replenishing merchandise utilizing power equipment. The role also involves maintaining freight and label quality by inspecting for damage, misplacement, and ensuring proper label information and placement. Additionally, the driver will organize the warehouse by upstacking/downstacking freight using power equipment and perform basic maintenance on equipment.

Requirements

  • Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Ensure sufficient quantities of merchandise for filling orders by retrieving and placing freight on stocking shelves or conveyors.
  • Replenish merchandise utilizing power equipment (e.g., stockpickers, tugger).
  • Maintain freight quality by inspecting freight for damage and misplacement.
  • Complete production sheets and verify reports.
  • Maintain label quality by inspecting and verifying freight label information (e.g., vendor stock number, description on labels, pack quantity) comparing label to freight contents or reports.
  • Inspect slot/shelving labels to ensure proper placement.
  • Organize warehouse by using power equipment to upstack/downstack freight.
  • Provide basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., clean, inspect).
