Diagnose tool operating problems and check on applicable test unit to analyze and determine repair issues. Disassemble unit, clean components and parts and check for worn, damaged and possibly defective parts. Enter the work order parts needed for repair from the bar code sheet or product manual for the product you are working on and check the price of repair and if the cost is not over 50% of the price of a new tool, then send the parts list to the parts department so the order can be filled. If the repair is over 50% of the cost of a new tool STOP the repair and proceed with an estimate for final approval from the customer or sales. Once the repair is determined to be okay for finalization retrieve the parts from the parts department and proceed with final assembly and testing.
