About The Position

Under general supervision, the Repair Technician diagnoses, services, and repairs Mitsubishi Electric industrial automation and electronic equipment to restore performance, reliability, and functionality. This role performs component‑level diagnostics, repairs, testing, and documentation while adhering to established MEAU quality, safety, and repair standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent military or technical training.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, datasheets, charts, and written work instructions.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze failures, and follow structured repair and documentation processes.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, schematics, charts and written work instructions
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Flexible work style with the ability to navigate changing priorities
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • Must be able to physically access and inspect all areas of machinery
  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work potential overtime/extended hours when needed
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and work independently to solve them

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Automation products.
  • Soldering experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Service and repair customer‑returned Mitsubishi Electric equipment in accordance with MEAU repair and quality standards.
  • Perform component‑level diagnostics and repairs on CNC systems, servo and spindle drives, PLCs, and other electronic equipment, including PCB and component replacement.
  • Disassemble equipment, perform system setup, replace components, and reassemble units to verify proper operation.
  • Complete final assembly, calibration, and functional testing using approved test equipment and procedures.
  • Follow established test methods to assess equipment condition and confirm repair effectiveness and quality compliance.
  • Accurately document repair activities, test results, and parts usage in designated repair and inventory systems.
  • Adhere to manufacturing processes, safety requirements, and quality control standards to ensure compliance with MEAU policies.
  • Support Field Service and Customer Service teams by providing technical repair information and status updates as requested.
  • Maintain repair tools, workstations, and test equipment; report maintenance or replacement needs as required.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
