About The Position

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Rail (a Berkshire Hathaway company), is seeking a Repair Supervisor to lead frontline operations, ensure quality and safety standards, and drive daily execution on the shop floor. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is passionate about leading teams and delivering operational results. The Repair Supervisor will lead repair operations, oversee hourly employees, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all work activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and AAR Interchange Rules
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Experience leading in a regulated environment
• Background in continuous improvement or Lean practices

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees across repair activities
• Drive safe work practices and ensure adherence to all safety standards
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, AAR, company, and customer requirements
• Monitor daily production, track work in process, and update job status
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate progress updates
• Partner with Quality and EHS teams to maintain compliance and audit readiness
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of employees
• Manage materials and equipment in coordination with Materials leadership
• Identify improvement opportunities and support process enhancements
• Address employee relations matters, including coaching and corrective actions
