About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Repair Center Technician II to support in-house servicing and repair activities at an established repair center or service facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, testing, and calibrating company products using established procedures and clearly defined technical guidelines. This role involves identifying mechanical, hardware, software, and system-related failures, documenting repair activities, and supporting product-failure analysis. This position is well suited for someone who is comfortable following detailed instructions, working with defined procedures, and applying basic technical judgment to straightforward repair and service situations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical procedures, work instructions, and defined guidelines.
  • Basic understanding of repair, service, maintenance, testing, or calibration processes.
  • Ability to diagnose straightforward mechanical, hardware, software, or system issues using established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document repair activities accurately.
  • Ability to work independently while following defined rules and instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to complete assigned tasks within expected timelines.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to enter or maintain repair-related documentation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and field-based technicians.
  • Ability to work the scheduled shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Ability to work onsite in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a repair center, service center, technical support, manufacturing, equipment repair, or product-service environment.
  • Experience performing maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, or calibration.
  • Experience working with mechanical, hardware, software, or systems-related diagnostics.
  • Experience using service documentation systems or repair tracking tools.
  • Technical training, vocational education, or specialized repair/service training is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-house servicing and repair of company products at an established repair center or service site.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system-related failures using approved procedures.
  • Follow established troubleshooting steps to identify product issues and determine appropriate repair actions.
  • Select from established repair solutions and apply defined technical procedures to complete assigned work.
  • Perform basic maintenance activities on repaired products as required.
  • Ensure products are repaired and prepared according to internal quality and service standards.
  • Perform testing of repaired products to confirm functionality and performance.
  • Complete calibration activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify that repaired products meet required specifications before completion.
  • Document testing, calibration, and repair results accurately.
  • Identify and escalate unusual or recurring product issues when appropriate.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to product failures, repair actions, testing results, and serviceability concerns.
  • Record findings clearly to support analysis of product failure trends.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support analysis of recurring failure patterns or service-related issues.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with field-based technicians when additional failure details are needed to support diagnostics or repair.
  • Collaborate with repair center team members, technical support, quality, and service teams as needed.
  • Escalate issues that fall outside established procedures or require additional technical support.
  • Follow instructions and guidance from supervisors, leads, or technical resources.
  • Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
  • Follow clearly defined work routines, repair procedures, and technical instructions.
  • Comply with applicable safety, quality, and documentation requirements.
  • Apply simple judgment in straightforward situations based on established guidelines.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy while performing repetitive or procedure-based repair tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues or opportunities to improve repair efficiency.
