About The Position

This role involves the repair and assembly of seals. Key responsibilities include receiving and un-boxing incoming repairs, inspecting and analyzing seals, interpreting component drawings, disassembling seals, lapping seal faces, documenting table flatness, maintaining a clean lapping area, washing and blasting parts, and performing basic maintenance on repair area equipment. The position also requires assembling seals, supporting inventory and warehouse operations (picking parts, receiving shipments, boxing/shipping orders, entering orders into SAP), and performing other duties as assigned. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED preferred.
  • Min. of 1 year assembly or production experience; and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Sufficient mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
  • Good hand skills/dexterity.
  • Ability to operate a Windows PC.
  • Use of measuring equipment.
  • Dial calipers and micrometers required.
  • Ability to read and interpret detail drawings.
  • Sufficient problem solving skills.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness for continued “on the job learning and development”.
  • Willingness to work “on-call” and/or overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Recording and un-boxing of incoming repairs.
  • Inspection and analysis of seals.
  • Interpret and understand simple to complex component part and assembly drawings.
  • Disassembly of seals sent in for repair.
  • Lapping the seal faces.
  • Documenting table flatness.
  • Keeping the lapping area clean and functional.
  • Washing and blasting of parts after disassembly.
  • Basic maintenance of repair area equipment.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Assembling seals.
  • Inventory and Warehouse support: Picking parts, Receiving shipments, Boxing & shipping orders, Entering orders into SAP.
