About The Position

Pape’ Machinery is seeking a driven and competitive rental equipment salesperson to join their team as a Rental Territory Manager. This role offers a lucrative sales career with unlimited earning potential. The position involves actively promoting the short-term rental fleet to customers in an assigned territory, collaborating with the Regional Rental Manager, and processing rental leads. A significant portion of the role (at least 80%) will be spent interacting with customers, building relationships with re-rental partners, and monitoring fleet usage to increase department revenue and achieve rental department goals. Requirements

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of heavy equipment preferred.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Driver’s license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • John Deere knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of equipment rentals is ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote the short-term rental fleet to customers in the assigned territory.
  • Report to and assist the Regional Rental Manager with all requested tasks and duties.
  • Collaborate frequently with the Regional Rental Manager to coordinate rental opportunities.
  • Ensure the timely submission of all required documentation.
  • Spend a minimum of 80% of time calling on customers, either independently or with Territory Managers.
  • Review and process all incoming rental leads within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Build relationships with re-rental partners and other companies to increase department revenue through re-rentals.
  • Monitor fleet usage to identify under-utilized units.
  • Monitor time and territory management to achieve stated rental department goals.
