Requirements

Proven sales experience, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
Excellent customer relations skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
Driver’s license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience of heavy equipment preferred.
John Deere knowledge and experience is a plus.
Knowledge and experience of equipment rentals is ideal.

Responsibilities

Report to and assist the Regional Rental Manager with all requested tasks and duties.
Actively promote the short-term rental fleet to customers in your assigned territory.
Collaborate with the Regional Rental Manager to coordinate rental opportunities and ensure the timely submission of all required documentation.
Spend a minimum of 80% of your time calling on customers, either independently or with the Territory Managers.
Review and process all incoming rental leads within 24 hours of receipt.
Build relationships with re-rental partners and other companies to increase department revenue through re-rentals.
Monitor fleet usage to identify under-utilized units.
Monitor time and territory management to achieve the stated rental department goals.
