About The Position

Responsible for sizing and fitting guests with proper ski/snowboard equipment and providing excellent guest service to ensure a great customer experience. Not only does a rental technician prepare rental equipment for the guest, they are also responsible for informing the guest on how to properly use the equipment and answer any questions guests may have. A rental technician must be friendly and helpful to both teammates and guests.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Arizona Snowbowl
  • Obtain current binding certifications for companies carried in the shop (Tyrolia, Elan, Look, etc)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Possess excellent teamwork skills
  • Certification of proper helmet fitting and safety (Provided by Manager)
  • SDS Certification (Provided by Manager)
  • Training in proper boot fitting (Provided by Manager)
  • Certifications through proper ski companies (Provided by Manager)
  • Must attend all training hosted by rental manager and supervisor
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Product Knowledge
  • Great people skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Attention to detail and organization of the rental shop

Nice To Haves

  • Cleaning/maintaining lodge and department areas such as tech stations, boot and ski racks, common areas, ect
  • Snow and Ice removal as required

Responsibilities

  • Assist teammates with the setup and break down of the rental shop
  • Assist guests with boot selection and proper fitting
  • Issue proper equipment according to training, information given and customer's request
  • Adjust equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
  • Uphold Snowbowl policies and procedures
  • Effectively answer guest questions in regards to ski area, rental procedures, and equipment
  • Responsible for contributing to inventory management.
  • Retrieve and return equipment from various locations, lost and found equipment logs, etc.
  • Inspect snowboards, skis, bindings, boots, helmets and poles for damage, malfunction, and compatibility
  • Keep a clean and tidy work space
  • Any other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned for the success of the company wide operations
