This position is integrated with the SRO Families United Collaborative, a collaboration of community-based organizations focused on organizing and empowering families living in Single Room Occupancy (SRO) hotels. The goal is to help these families understand and defend their rights, advocate for improved living conditions, increase access to essential services, and find safe and decent housing. The Rental Subsidy Organizer specifically works with Chinatown SRO families with children eighteen (18) years of age and younger. This role involves providing administrative assistance, information, and guidance throughout the rental subsidy and housing voucher application process, offering housing search support, and organizing families to advocate for these programs. The position is full-time, nonexempt, and regular, located in the Chinatown neighborhood of San Francisco.
