Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred, or two years or more of sales experience and/or training.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a service-oriented industry.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proven inside sales experience.
  • Track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to communicate the “Value Added” concept to customers at all levels.
  • Highly organized.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Desire and ability to learn and utilize auxiliary systems such as Salesforce, SAP and ServiceMax.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Must frequently lift, carry, push, pull and /or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Service existing customer accounts.
  • Proactively generate interest at existing customers that historically had need for assets being returned.
  • Expand rental customer base by cold-calling prospective rental customers and generating interest with dormant rental customers.
  • Grow revenue via strategic decision making, following pricing matrices and enforcing discounting rules.
  • Respond to customer and internal rental equipment related inquiries, questions, and requests.
  • Assist collections department with accounts receivables, maintaining target DSO.
  • Issue POs and oversee accounts payables.
  • Facilitate all facets of HYG fleet program.
  • Create rental contracts in SAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information and paperwork.
  • Communicate and coordinate rental equipment delivery and pickup to appropriate site transportation coordinators.
  • Ensure complete and accurate equipment delivery and pickup documentation is received from the transportation service provider, processed in the system, and filed appropriately within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.
  • Utilize Business Intelligence & SAP reports to drive rental metrics.
  • Review and process initial, periodic, and final billing on rental contracts.
  • Maintain rental paperwork and documentation to satisfactory audit standards.
  • Ensure rental contract files are up to date, organized, complete, and accurately maintained.
  • Update and maintain rental equipment master file records in the system.
  • Work with customers and fellow employees to meet customer needs.
  • Handle overtime/check-in/check-out, OT, and damage recovery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
