About The Position

The technician is responsible for repairing and servicing sets of skis and snowboards. The technician will fix damage to the equipment, mount bindings, complete base waxing and organize general tuning of the customer’s winter sports kit. At non-busy times, the technician will often be expected to assist with the fitting and rentals customer service counters. Full Time or Part Time positions available.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of binding mounting procedures
• Ability to pass training and show competency of all major binding manufacture certification indemnification programs
• Knowledge of all indemnified and non-indemnified bindings
• Knowledge of compatible ski boot/binding systems
• Possess ski/board repair and tuning skills, and have ability to use appropriate tools

Nice To Haves

• Ski/Board repair and tuning experience preferred
• Knowledge of ski design, including but not limited to cross country, telemark and downhill, snowboards, and other related equipment helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional guest service to all customers at the repair shop
• Perform ski and snowboard repairs, tuning and other maintenance as needed
• Perform binding function tests for all ski boot/binding adjustments
• Care and maintenance of all repair shop tools and machinery
• Keep inventory of repair shop supplies and order new supplies as needed, with rental manager approval
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Attend scheduled training sessions
• Uphold all policies of the repair and rental shop
• Cross train in ski/board rental shop and work in location as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
