Rental HVAC Branch Associate
About The Position
Spot Coolers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier, rents and sells commercial portable air-conditioning and heating solutions nationwide. The Rental HVAC Branch Associate opening is in the St. Louis, Missouri market. Under moderate supervision, this role provides product and technical support, troubleshoots technical problems, determines solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to customers. The associate also responds to customer servicing needs, including deliveries, pickups, and equipment swaps, helping build Spot Coolers’ reputation for customer service. The position involves frequent driving to customer sites, delivering and installing portable air-conditioning and heating equipment, maintaining rental equipment and accessories, and keeping the warehouse and trucks organized and efficient. The associate completes required order paperwork and rental or sales agreements in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to climb a 10-foot ladder.

Responsibilities
- Drive to multiple customer sites daily.
- Deliver, pick up, and install new and rental portable air-conditioning and heating equipment.
- Provide product and technical support under moderate supervision.
- Conduct technical training and product briefings with customers.
- Troubleshoot technical problems, determine solutions consistent with product and customer specifications, and recommend solutions to customers.
- Keep the fleet and required accessories clean, maintained, organized, and ready to rent.
- Maintain the warehouse and trucks for optimal efficiency.
- Complete and submit required paperwork, including order write-ups and rental or sales agreements, according to policy.
- Respond to customer service needs, including equipment swaps.
