About The Position

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Rental Fleet Dispatcher to coordinate the movement and availability of its rental vehicle fleet to meet customer demand. Depending on the location, the role may involve inventorying vehicles, tracking their status and movement, and dispatching them to appropriate locations. The dispatcher communicates with internal teams and sometimes external partners to coordinate vehicle movements or transports, prepares and compiles reports, and helps ensure vehicles are available, correctly positioned, and ready for customers. The position requires regular on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely. The role may be suitable for candidates with experience in logistics, dispatching, retail operations, or other fast-paced environments.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Willingness to work outdoors or near a mechanical shop with a moderate noise level.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.
• Ability to type, sit, stand, walk, or move throughout the rental lot; enter and exit vehicles for prolonged periods; and drive a variety of vehicles.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of dispatcher, logistics, or coordination experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement and availability of the rental vehicle fleet to meet customer demand.
• Inventory vehicles, depending on the location.
