Holiday-Help Rental Associates are responsible for generating sales through world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment and providing our guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience. Holiday-Help Rental Associate is a flexible employee who often works in multiple different rental store locations at the specified resort they are hired to and may also be required to work shifts in other support roles (depending on staffing needs) in various different departments at the resort, including (but not limited to): Retail, Food & Beverage & Base Area Operations. We're Hiring for Two Types of Holiday Help Please read carefully and apply if one of these matches your availability. Holiday Help Type 1: You are 100% available to work Dec 12 through Jan 4. Expect to work 50-100+ hours across that window, including nights, weekends, Christmas, and New Year's. Holiday Help Type 2 (limited spots): Choose one: All-Season One-Day-A-Week: You can commit to one 4-6 hour shift 1 specific day per week for the entire season or until you complete 50-100 hours. Peak Periods: You are able to commit to a schedule that covers 50-100 hours across some combination of our peak periods: Thanksgiving: Nov 26-29, Christmas/New Year's: Dec 12 - Jan 4, Presidents Week: Feb 13-21, Spring Break: Starting March 20. You'll earn an Epic Pass, giving you access to ski and ride at Vail Resorts mountains for the season. Your Epic Pass will activate after your first day of work and completion of required documents. Once you complete your required hours, it stays active at all Vail Resorts locations for the season, no matter when your last shift is.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends
Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry
Ability to stand & kneel repeatedly, and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods
Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English
At least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops
Fit guests with equipment - we'll train you!
Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental including length of rental and return options
Work together with teammates to maintain safety standards
May include other duties such as cashiering, retail sales, and other duties
Other duties as assigned
