This hands-on role is responsible for performing a wide variety of renovation, maintenance, repair, and make-ready services for vacant apartment homes within our portfolio. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general maintenance. Requirements

  • Experience in apartment maintenance, renovations, construction, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting and drywall repair, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and general installation and repair work.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when needed for deadlines or emergencies.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, and carrying materials.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs, including up to four flights of stairs.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including temperatures above 90°F and below 32°F.
  • Ability to perform snow removal, leaf cleanup, and other exterior maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Remove trash, debris, and obsolete materials before, during, and after renovation projects.
  • Prepare and finish surfaces through sanding, patching, priming, sealing, and painting.
  • Remove existing backsplash materials and prepare walls for new tile installation.
  • Repair, replace, and install apartment components including cabinets and countertops, doors, trim, and hardware, appliances and lighting fixtures, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical fixtures.
  • Inspect completed apartment homes to ensure quality standards, proper operation, and move-in readiness.
  • Complete punch-list items and correct deficiencies as needed.
  • Perform additional renovation and maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Service and repair carpentry, painting, plastering, HVAC systems, and minor electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure timely completion of work orders and unit turnovers.
