About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and organized individual to support property rehabilitation projects throughout Wayne, Lycoming, and Luzerne Counties. This hands-on role involves assisting with the safe relocation of household goods, furniture, and materials during active community renovation and rehabilitation efforts. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, can work independently or as part of a team, and is committed to helping ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50-75 pounds.
  • Comfortable working on stairs and in occupied residential environments.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
  • Strong attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable and adaptable in a changing project environment.
  • Professional and respectful interaction with residents, community partners, and project coordinators.
  • Ability to take direction and provide updates as needed.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the region.

Nice To Haves

  • Pickup truck or SUV preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely pack, move, load, and unload furniture, household items, and other materials.
  • Prepare residential spaces for renovation activities.
  • Transport items within project sites as needed.
  • Maintain basic inventories of relocated items.
  • Ensure belongings are properly tracked and accounted for throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Report any damaged or missing items promptly.
  • Follow established safety procedures at all project sites.
  • Work collaboratively with volunteer groups, residents, contractors, and supportive service coordinators.
  • Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.
