About The Position

This position is responsible for underwriting tasks related to assigned files to promote premium growth and achieve target loss ratio results. The role includes meeting performance metrics for service guidelines, compliance, and portfolio management. The underwriter maintains and underwrites a renewal portfolio across Cyber Liability, Technology E&O, Media Liability, and other E&O coverages, while working with internal teams and external partners to support account servicing and underwriting processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
2–5+ years of related work experience.
Renewal underwriting experience in Cyber, Media, and E&O.
General commercial and financial knowledge.
Strong communication skills across functional areas.
Familiarity with underwriting processes and systems.
Client service experience.
Working knowledge of cyber insurance coverages and claims processes.
Ability to manage time and priorities and execute on timelines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
Ability to travel up to 15% as necessary.

Responsibilities

Maintain and underwrite a profitable renewal portfolio of Cyber Liability, Technology E&O, Media Liability, and other E&O coverages.
Evaluate, select, and price cyber insurance policies to achieve premium and profitability goals in accordance with underwriting guidelines and authority.
Monitor key performance metrics, including quote, bind, and claims ratios, and take appropriate responsive action to meet business objectives.
Develop and manage assigned relationships with partners, brokers, and agents, and ensure proper servicing of accounts.
Participate in conducting internal underwriting audits to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines.
Work with product, claims, technology, and other parts of the business to ensure proper execution of underwriting processes.
Comply with corporate policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable codes of conduct.
