About The Position

This position is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Rendering General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software, and other software systems, to make work orders and/or fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be willing to read, write, and communicate effectively to communicate machine readings to proper personnel. Must be willing to use math to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach. Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in either cold, damp, or hot, humid environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job and be willing to participate in job rotation. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be past 90-day probationary period.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to lift 60 lbs.
  • Must be willing to climb ladders and work at heights up to and exceeding 30’ daily
  • Must be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours
  • Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach.
  • Must be past 90-day probationary period
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
