About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all assigned equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Esta persona es responsable para monitorear los chequeos cada hora de todos los sistemas de amoniaco incluye los compresores, condensares, evaporadoras, máquinas de recircular y cualquier pipas y equipo asociado son cumplidos y documentados correctamente. Hacer arreglo diario para el equipo y hacer un examen de las calderas y hacer examen del tratamiento de los condensares. Inspeccionar regularmente y visualmente todo el equipo asignado colocado en el techo y adentro de la planta. Adquirir conocimiento completo del trazado de la planta, las herramientas, los partes y el equipo. Mantener y monitorear el equipo del sistema de refrigeración con amoniaco dentro de los estándares se seguridad para la facilidad entero. Buenas habilidades de matemáticas, leer y escribir para monitorear apropiadamente el equipo, hacer chequeos y documentar datos. Debe ser miembro del equipo de HAZMAT (los entrenados para responder en caso de emergencias con químicos) y pasar físicos anuales a mantener el estatus de calificaciones para HAZMAT. Trabajar adentro y afuera de la planta como mandado, expuesto a los elementos del clima afuera, pisos mojados, electricidad, reparos en equipo mecánica e hidráulica, objetos en movimiento, humedad, ruido, y a veces trabajar en espacios apretados.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of industrial refrigeration experience (experience may be combined across employers if it totals at least 1 year).
Must be able to follow instructions both written and oral.
Must be able to communicate with management personnel.
Good math, reading and writing skills to properly monitor equipment, check and record data.
Must be a member of the HAZMAT Team and pass annual physicals to maintain the HAZMAT qualification status.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.
Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all assigned equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Overseeing hourly checks for all the ammonia systems including compressors, condensers, evaporators, re-circulators, and any piping and associated equipment are completed and documented correctly.
Performing daily PM’s on the equipment and performing boiler tests and condenser treatment tests.
Visually inspecting all their assigned equipment on the roof and within the plant regularly.
Maintaining and monitoring the ammonia refrigeration equipment within safety standards for the entire facility.
Reporting any ammonia leakages.
