About The Position

This role is for a phone sales professional who is confident in their sales abilities and seeks to focus on genuine opportunities with customers who require assistance. The position involves acting as a trusted backup for field sales professionals, handling customer conversations remotely to help homeowners understand options, address concerns, and make informed decisions. Additionally, the role includes working on unsold estimates and signing up new members. This is a senior phone sales position that emphasizes treating people well, rather than a high-volume, turn-and-burn call center job. Ideal candidates are patient, thoughtful, and skilled in phone communication. The company is a residential plumbing business based in Orange County, California, known for its customer-centric approach.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2C phone sales experience.
  • Comfortable with high call volume (100+ outbound calls a day, but warm leads).
  • Proven closing track record with the ability to explain how real numbers were achieved.
  • Native or near-native English fluency with clear, confident pronunciation.
  • Patient, customer-first approach; not a 'turn-and-burn' closer.
  • Comfort with technology including CRM, video calls, modern phone systems, and paperless workflows.
  • Coachable and humble, open to feedback.
  • Available Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pacific Time.
  • Reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and the ability to be on camera for team meetings.
  • Must submit a resume and complete a short video interview (HireFlix) to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted closer for the field sales team, assisting with pricing concerns, explaining solutions, and building customer confidence over the phone.
  • Close unsold estimates by reaching out to customers who received a quote but did not proceed, understanding their hesitations, and facilitating the work if appropriate.
  • Sell Do It Right Memberships to grow the company's membership program.
  • Provide light inbound support for customers who call in.
  • Achieve sales targets, with a minimum of $50K per month in sold jobs and a target of $100K for top performers.
