About The Position

Simard Automotive is seeking a part-time, remote recruiter with experience in the automotive industry and expertise in Topgrading recruitment methods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for attracting, screening, and placing top talent, enhancing the company's hiring process, and selling the company's vision and culture to potential employees. This is an individual contributor role, working closely with the internal leadership team to refine and improve hiring processes over time, focusing on hard-to-fill roles such as A-Level Technicians, Service Advisors, and Managers.

Requirements

  • Topgrading Expertise – Certified or highly experienced in structured interview methods.
  • Automotive Recruiting Experience – Strong background in hiring for automotive roles.
  • Process Improvement Mindset – Ability to refine hiring scorecards, KPIs, and interview processes.
  • Applicant Pro or ATS Experience – Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong Communication & Sales Skills – Ability to persuade and engage top talent.
  • Relocation Expertise – Experience moving candidates across states or enticing relocation.
  • Self-Starter & Problem-Solver – Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership.

  • Applicant Pro experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Source, screen, and interview top talent using Topgrading methods.
  • Thoroughly vet candidates for technical and cultural fit.
  • Manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS) data.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine scorecards, job descriptions, and interview methods.
  • Optimize interview-to-hire ratios by improving assessment techniques.
  • Learn and articulate the company vision, values, and mission to candidates.
  • Develop compelling outreach strategies to entice top candidates.
  • Help candidates understand the benefits of relocating to Alaska.
  • Focus on hiring A-Level Technicians, Service Advisors, and Managers.
  • Develop customized recruitment strategies for high-demand roles.
  • Sourcing, interviews, and hiring pipeline reporting.
  • Track hiring metrics and provide reports to leadership.
