Important to Know
This is a part-time, contract (1099) position — not a salaried employee role.
Physicians may set their own schedules for patient care; however, collaboration responsibilities require ongoing responsiveness.
Physicians may stop seeing patients at any time, but collaborative agreement responsibilities require a 120-day wind-down period to ensure continuity of care.
Compensation structure varies by state depending on collaboration requirements (capped vs. uncapped states).
UpLift will credential and enroll you with multiple health plans to expand access to insured patients.
All care is delivered remotely through UpLift’s telehealth platform.
All clinical decisions are made independently by licensed providers in accordance with state telehealth laws and professional standards.

Requirements

• Board-certified Psychiatrist with active clinical experience.
• Active and unrestricted medical license(s) in one or more of the following priority states: Virginia, Texas, Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina.
• Comfortable prescribing medication when clinically appropriate and permitted by state law.
• Skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver virtual care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide timely consultation support.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-state licensure strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (e.g. NPs) is preferred.
• Previous telemedicine experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct video consultations and communicate with patients via telemedicine.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, including prescribing medication when clinically appropriate.
• Provide supervision and oversight to Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in states requiring collaborative agreements.
• Complete required chart reviews and provide timely consultation support to NPs.
• Maintain responsiveness for collaboration duties in accordance with state requirements and UpLift standards.
• Coordinate care with UpLift’s network of therapists and other providers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Provide empathetic, evidence-based care while upholding UpLift’s clinical and service standards.
• Share product and workflow feedback with UpLift’s engineering and operations teams to help improve care delivery.
