The Remote Camp Manager assumes a pivotal role in orchestrating the intricate planning, efficient organization, and seamless logistical operations specifically tailored for ALE's Remote Camps. Tasked with overseeing all facets of camp operations at one of the world's most remote and challenging locations, the Remote Camp Manager leads efforts to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and safety protocols are upheld. Collaborating closely with various departments and reporting directly to the Field Operations Manager, this position demands a strong service-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive amidst the unique demands of the Antarctic interior. This is a seasonal contractor position. Communications Operators are employed by Polar Services, Inc. (Panama) and assigned to work with Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions (ALE) at Union Glacier. ALE oversees recruitment, onboarding, training, and daily operational supervision. Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions (ALE) is the most experienced deep‑field operator in Antarctica, providing a wide range of air support, logistical back‑up and safety cover for governmental research programs, independent expeditions, and private visitors. ALE is a Utah company with a year‑round office in Salt Lake City, a seasonal operations support office in Punta Arenas, Chile, and several seasonal field camps in Antarctica. The Remote Camp Manager generally works from early November to late January, specific schedule is dependent upon seasonal bookings.
