Vetco, a division of Petco, is seeking independent veterinary contractors to provide relief veterinarian services. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing.
Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions, including the ability to perform blood draws and administer vaccines.
Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy.
Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates.
DEA in good standing preferred for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, and medications.
Perform heartworm testing and microchip insertion (at Vaccination Clinics).
Conduct preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures (at Total Care Hospitals).
Partner with the area medical director to review case comfort levels (at Total Care Hospitals).
Deliver the best care and patient experience possible.
