About The Position

East Greenbush Animal Hospital is seeking experienced relief veterinarians to help support our growing caseload. We're looking for confident, collaborative doctors who are interested in picking up recurring or occasional shifts in a busy, well-supported small animal practice just outside Albany, NY. Our relief doctors are supported by an experienced team of veterinarians, licensed technicians, assistants, and client service representatives, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine rather than managing logistics. The hospital maintains a strong doctor support team and emphasizes collaboration throughout the day. East Greenbush Animal Hospital is a progressive, 6 doctor small animal hospital that has proudly served the Capital District since 2003. We provide high quality medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and exotic pets. Our practice combines the resources of a large hospital with the culture of a close-knit team. Our doctors enjoy a diverse caseload ranging from preventative care and internal medicine to surgery, dentistry, and urgent care cases. Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited institution
• Active New York veterinary license in good standing
• Comfortable seeing wellness, sick appointments, and routine medical cases

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred
• Surgery is welcomed but not required for relief shifts

Responsibilities

• Managing appointments independently
• Collaborating with the hospital team
• Practicing medicine
• Providing medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and exotic pets
• Handling diverse caseloads ranging from preventative care and internal medicine to surgery, dentistry, and urgent care cases
