Petco Veterinary Services is seeking a relief veterinarian to work in one of two settings: Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care full-service veterinary hospitals. Relief veterinarians can use flexible online scheduling to choose shifts that suit their availability. There is no minimum or maximum number of shifts, and weekday and weekend shifts are available. Veterinarians set their own rate for each shift, may continue practice activities outside Petco shifts, and are not charged agency fees. The appointment-based model is designed to manage patient flow and help veterinarians leave on time. Trained, experienced staff handle clinic operations so veterinarians can focus on patient care. Veterinarians receive a monthly newsletter with clinic news, policy updates, and product announcements, and a 15% discount on Petco products and services. Vetco Vaccination Clinics provide basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip placement. They do not provide surgery, emergency care, or illness care. Most are located within Petco stores, with some operating from mobile van units. Vetco Total Care hospitals provide full-service veterinary care, including preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Hospital equipment includes digital dental X-rays, Butterfly IQ+ Vet ultrasound imaging, and surgery suites with heated hydraulic tables and full anesthesia monitoring. Hospital staff are licensed and trained, and there are no overnight or emergency on-call shifts.
