About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Charter House Coordinator, this role operates a van to pick up and drop off program participants for daily activities and special outings. The driver is responsible for fulfilling CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures in all aspects of their work.

Requirements

• Possession of a High School diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of three months work experience with driving responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally.
• Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Access to reliable means of transportation for job-related use.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass a Michigan State Police clearance check.
• Must have verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operates a van, picking up program participants and delivering them to the program site.
• Returns participants to their homes upon completion of daily activity.
• Takes participants to special activities at the direction of the supervisor/facilitator.
• Carries out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
