About The Position
This is a full-time, regular employee status position with a weekly hour commitment of 40 hours and an FTE of 1. The role involves providing excellent customer service in a retail café setting, operating a point-of-sale system, and supporting various food service operations. The schedule includes 8.5-hour shifts between 5a-4:30p, with an every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation. The position is located at the Burnet Campus within the Food Services department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and employees
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions
- Support all retail café operations as assigned
- Stock and replenish condiments, beverages, snacks, supplies, and retail merchandise
- Assist with coffee service, salad bar, deli, pizza, Starbucks, mobile ordering, and other food service areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, dining spaces, equipment, and workstations
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Support peak meal periods by assisting in various retail stations as operational needs require
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient daily operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
