About The Position

This position is for a Third Shift Cook/Retail Cashier Relief role at the Burnet Campus, within the Food Services department. The role involves preparing and serving food items, providing customer service in a fast-paced retail dining environment, and operating as a relief cashier. The schedule includes 8.5-hour shifts between 7pm and 6:30am, with an every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation. The role requires flexibility to rotate between multiple workstations, including deli and grill areas, and to support team operations by adapting to changing assignments and business needs.

Requirements

Demonstrated back-of-house (BOH) food preparation and cooking skills
2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food items for third-shift customers
Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail dining environment
Rotate between multiple workstations, including the deli and grill areas
Prepare food according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines
Operate and maintain food service equipment safely and effectively
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and customer service areas
Stock food, beverages, supplies, and serving areas throughout the shift
Assist with opening, closing, and restocking responsibilities as assigned
Serve as a relief cashier and accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions
Crosstrain as a backup cashier to provide coverage during breaks and periods of operational need
Follow all departmental food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and HACCP standards
Support team operations by adapting to changing assignments and business needs
Perform other duties as assigned
