About The Position

The Relief Operator will be responsible for relieving all downstream operators on their shift, including during vacation periods. This role requires maintaining quality standards for each position while relieving, and assuming all functions and responsibilities of the role being relieved. The operator will report daily on performed relief tasks and may be assigned other duties temporarily to maintain plant operations, including working in any classification or on different shifts. Advising supervision of any problems or potential problems is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• Must be self-motivated, responsible, and able to work with minimum supervision
• Must be able to run all downstream packaging equipment
• Must be familiar with packaging procedures and paperwork
• Must be able to make minor machine adjustments and mechanically inclined

• Relieving all downstream operators on the shift
• Relieving all downstream operators for vacation
• Maintaining quality standards for each position during the relief period
• Assuming all functions and responsibilities in each performed function, during relief
• Reporting daily the performed relief tasks
• Other duties as assigned temporarily to maintain proper operation in the plant, including work in any work classification, and different shift assignment
