About The Position

The processing and packaging of food products requires flexibility on the part of all personnel as operations change depending upon the needs of the customer. This will require a Nutritional Relief Operator to train and work on all equipment in the department on a periodic basis in order to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner. The operator will perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other assigned areas. They will monitor quality assurance controls during the production process, such as product analysis, weight checks, and code date verifications. The operator will also record and maintain accurate written and electronic information, and understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies. They will operate equipment safely and efficiently, inspect infrastructure and equipment, and notify management when maintenance is required. Assisting in trouble-shooting of equipment and process problems, and communicating and interacting with other employees, customers, and management personnel in a respectful and effective manner are also key responsibilities. The operator will learn and operate all equipment in the Nutritional Yeast Department, cover open shifts as scheduled, and overtime may be required. This role involves working non-routine hours and following a changing weekly schedule.

  • Use learned experience to solve more detailed and complex problems.
