Relief Driver
About The Position
Agape provides direct care support to residents with differing abilities. Their mission is to continually enrich the daily lives of residents by assisting them with their day-to-day tasks, including caregiving assistance, shopping, cooking, and working on projects. Agape practices compassion, integrity, teamwork, and excellence. They are currently hiring for their CBRF (Community Based Residential Facility) group homes and their SAPs (Supported Apartment Program). As a Driver, you will assist residents with their daily travel needs such as appointments, outings, and work. Schedules are flexible and can be discussed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in our participant's home or in an office environment with air conditioning/heat.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Maintain a valid drivers license with excellent driving record
- Be mentally & physically capable to assist participants based on their needs in and out of the bus
- A strong passion for helping others with mental & physical disabilities
Responsibilities
- Drivers are responsible for providing door to door service for our clients
- Assisting caregiver with transfer of clients in and out of wheelchair using required safety devices
- Required to inspect bus weekly
- Additional duties may be assigned
