About The Position

This person must have a Class A CDL without Automatic Transmission Restriction and be able to pass a DOT physical including a drug test. This person must have basic skills in math, reading and writing. Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This person also will have a great amount of customer contact and therefore should have or be able to attain sales skills. The schedule involves a 2am-6am start with some Saturday deliveries. There is no overnight travel. The pay is $1200/week with overtime eligibility.

Requirements

• Must have a Class A CDL without Automatic Transmission Restriction
• Able to pass a DOT physical including a drug test.
• Basic skills in math, reading and writing.
• Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Great amount of customer contact and therefore should have or be able to attain sales skills.
• Must have a Class A commercial driver’s license
• Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
• Must possess good communication skills and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Past route experience and a good driving record preferred

Responsibilities

• Drives truck over established route to deliver and sell products or render services of the dairy industry to customer’s place of business.
• Must follow all Department of Transportation regulations including E-log’s.
• Makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt.
• Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.
• Listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Load and unload product at destination
• Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise
• Stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually as well as drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds, throughout the shift.
• Load and unload truck and carry merchandise.
• Keep the inside of the truck clean, perform routine Inspections on truck and work and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
