About The Position

Eliot is seeking a Relief Counselor to work with adults with brain injuries. The Brain Injury residential programs provide high-quality, innovative programming to help adults enhance their lives, develop skills, engage in community activities, and build supportive relationships. The role assists clients with daily living, safety, medical and physical needs, activities, appointments, and connections with family and community. Various shifts are available. The benefits listed in the posting are not applicable to relief positions.

Requirements

• Experience working with adults with cognitive, behavioral, or developmental issues.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Ability to drive the residence vehicle.
• Must maintain a personally owned vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Medication Administration certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with tasks of daily living, including personal care, meals, and ambulation.
• Ensure a safe living environment by providing interventions and assistance to maintain safety.
• Support clients in integrating into their communities by using community resources, encouraging memberships, and fostering personal relationships.
• Assist clients with medical and physical needs.
• Help clients participate in activities, attend medical appointments, and maintain meaningful family and community connections.
