About The Position

Caterlink is seeking a Relief Chef Manager to provide cover in the Stratford area, supporting existing site-based teams. This role operates during term-time only, with no weekend work, offering flexibility. As a mobile-based role, reliable personal transportation is required. The position involves preparing, cooking, and presenting food to Caterlink and client standards, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislations. The role also focuses on enhancing Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service, supporting daily operations, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans. Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef Manager would be ideal
• Understanding of the education contract catering sector
• Excellent creative culinary skills
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
• Proficiency in food cost management
• Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic IT Skills
• Must have own transport

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• Ensure that locations meet statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures
• Ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded
• Support with the day-to-day running of the location and supervising teams including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
