About The Position

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 (Malta, NY) is seeking a talented and motivated Test Engineer to join the Reliability Engineering team engaged in advanced technology reliability characterization. This role supports wafer and package level reliability testing, technology development, and qualification activities while partnering with FEOL, BEOL, and Product Reliability engineering teams.

Requirements

Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field from an accredited degree program.
Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
Experience in semiconductor device characterization or reliability engineering (including internships/co-ops where applicable).
Hands-on experience with Cascade/Accretech probers and Agilent/Keithley testers.
Proficiency in Visual Basic, C#, and C++.
Strong understanding of semiconductor device operation and reliability failure mechanisms.
Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal).

Nice To Haves

Experience with device reliability testing and lab equipment.
Hardware test program development.
Solid understanding of reliability physics and reliability test-program development.
Demonstrated leadership through internships, projects, competitions, or campus activities.
Project management skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Develop test programs; maintain existing and new test capabilities to support reliability assessments using C#, Python, C++, and related tools.
Perform wafer-level and package-level reliability testing including HCI, BTI, TDDB, and EM.
Execute electrical measurements using semi-automatic and fully automatic probers.
Manage test schedules, priorities, and resources to ensure on-time completion of qualification activities.
Drive operational efficiency through standardization and automation.
Manage equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and utilization.
Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and Quality Management System requirements.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
