About The Position

The Reliability Engineer - Level 2 position involves overseeing and coordinating well-defined multi-disciplined projects from inception to project completion in support of site operations. This role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, adherence to company standards, operational requirements, and business needs. The engineer will coordinate information across the project team to facilitate project facilities execution, prepare routine project status reports, and apply engineering principles and methodologies to project and support work. Key responsibilities include identifying technical problems and developing problem-solving solutions, applying cGMP principles for the workplace, and incorporating cGMP and regulatory compliance into all assigned project scopes, designs, and construction activities. Promoting safety within the workplace by following site safety procedures and incorporating safety into all assigned capital projects is also crucial. The role includes coordinating and overseeing the development of assigned project design documents, selecting A&E firms, coordinating and reviewing their work, and facilitating team reviews of designs. Additionally, the engineer will prepare project estimates, work with Purchasing to prepare bid packages, and prepare project forecasts and schedules while tracking costs. Oversight of assigned project contract work, including reviewing and approving contractor bids, requests for information, submittals, and change requests, and inspecting work progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety regulations are also key duties. Assuring contractors receive necessary orientation and training is part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • More than eight (8) years of experience in Construction Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project estimates for design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, and other related costs.
  • Work with Purchasing to prepare bid packages for construction and facilities expansion.
  • Prepare project forecasts and schedules and tracks costs.
  • Oversee assigned project contract work.
  • Review and approve project contractor bids, request for information, submittals and change requests.
  • Inspect work progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety regulations.
  • Assure contractors receive necessary orientation and training.
