About The Position

As a Reliability Engineer, you will be a proactive problem solver playing a crucial role in driving asset performance and operational efficiency. The Reliability Engineer will analyze failures, pinpoint root causes, and implement structured solutions that increase uptime and reduce costs. Through a combination of technical expertise, data-driven decision-making, and cross functional collaboration, the Reliability Engineer will play a key role in developing and maintaining proactive maintenance strategies and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of industrial maintenance and production equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, technical aptitude, and understanding of engineering principles.
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
Ability to collaborate with others and manage projects.
Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands in a fast paced environment.
Proficient computer skills.
Proficient in data management, statistical analysis, and knowledge of reliability tools like FMEA and RCA are necessary.
Familiarity with CMMS software like SAP or Maxinmo is required.
Must have a continuous improvement mindset.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
Must be able to work extended hours including weekends as needed.
Must practice good personal hygiene.
Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.

Nice To Haves

Direct experience with maintenance planning and/or supervision is preferred.
Lead Six Sigma certificate would be a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Identifying and addressing production losses or high maintenance cost assets to reduce their impact.
Managing risks to environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production. This involves utilizing tools like FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
Ensuring reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations throughout their lifecycle. This includes participation in design reviews, development of installation specifications and commissioning plans.
Developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies, including predictive and preventive maintenance, to minimize downtime and prevent failures.
Analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and conducting root cause analyses to determine the underlying cause of problems and develop solutions.
Leading or supporting continuous improvement initiatives, potentially using methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Value Stream Mapping.
Collaborating with various teams (design, maintenance, production) to implement reliability principles and train staff on new procedures or systems.
Analyzing equipment failure data and conducting root cause analysis.
Develop and implement maintenance and equipment monitoring procedures.
Identify new technologies for reliability improvement.
Develop training programs.
Collaboration with other departments to integrate reliability and implementing quality assurance programs are also key.
Utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodology, establishing metrics, and standardizing parts are part of their responsibilities.
Special projects as assigned.
