About The Position

The Reliability Engineer provides advanced technical expertise to improve process and asset reliability by detecting and eliminating defects. The role contributes to optimizing equipment maintenance and developing reliability engineering strategies. It partners with maintenance, production, plant engineering, and corporate engineering to improve equipment availability, maintainability, and operability, including for new capital designs and installations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related work experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of reliability tools, including FMEA, RCFA, PM, and PdM.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP.

Nice To Haves

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) processes and track recommendations through resolution.
• Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and develop reliability strategies.
• Review equipment specifications and standards and recommend reliability improvements.
• Formulate, implement, maintain, and audit Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Diagnostic Maintenance (PdM) programs.
• Recommend projects or studies and develop cost justifications for reliability improvements.
• Participate in developing criteria for and evaluating equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
• Improve the reliability tools and methods used to increase plant reliability.
• Ensure appropriate spare parts inventory levels to sustain equipment maintainability and availability.
• Advise plant and corporate engineering on new capital designs and installations to preserve equipment reliability, operability, and maintainability.
• Participate in final checkouts of new installations, including factory and site acceptance testing to ensure adherence to functional specifications.
• Identify and eliminate bad actors and optimize equipment availability.
• Participate in developing, designing, and installing predictive maintenance programs and technology applications to identify and eliminate defects.
• Partner with and guide maintenance repair and production teams on reliability processes and identifying critical spares.
