The Reliability Engineer (RE) applies engineering practices to eliminate repetitive equipment and process failures. This role identifies and manages asset reliability risks that could impact plant or business operations. The RE is involved in the early design and installation stages of capital projects for new or modified assets, and develops analytical methods to determine equipment and process reliability. The RE is an active member of Total Productive Maintenance’s PM Pillar. This role involves acquiring and analyzing process and equipment data, preparing reports, and making recommendations for improvements. The level of reliability considered will include criticality ranking, economic limitations for equipment downtime, repair/replacement costs, and material/equipment availability. The Reliability Engineer will develop and ensure the execution of plans to reduce production losses and high maintenance cost assets, driving improved availability. The RE will manage a salary Maintenance Planner and hourly predictive maintenance technicians, including scheduling, performance reviews, training, development, and planned work.
