About The Position

The Reliability Coordinator performs routine maintenance practices, resource management, and controls for tools and processes to maintain and improve capacity utilization and quality standards through reliable operations. The role executes work selected and needed by the production team and supports reliable operation of plant equipment in Cargill’s Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with ingredients and branded products. The position is based at 1100 Indianapolis Boulevard in Hammond, Indiana. Relocation assistance is provided. Cargill will not sponsor work visas for this position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
At least two years of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

Continuous improvement experience, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
SAP training and/or experience.
Knowledge of or experience managing Maintenance Key Performance Indicators.
Knowledge of or experience with Predictive Maintenance Practices.
Knowledge of or experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Execute equipment maintenance for assets involved in containing, controlling, or safeguarding a high-hazard process.
Maintain the mechanical and electrical integrity of new installations and existing systems.
Implement, monitor, and maintain best practices to improve operational effectiveness using continuous improvement and reliability excellence methods and tools.
Monitor capitalized repair and replacement projects, mitigate risks, remove barriers, and ensure milestones are completed within budget.
Partner with vendors and handle contracts related to asset improvements and new asset project activities.
Ensure the ongoing mechanical, electrical, and structural integrity of plant equipment.
Lead and execute quality maintenance planning.
Independently resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision and escalate more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
