About Job Technical Release Program Manager Role Summary End-to-end operational execution across release governance, live-site reliability, incident management, and security & compliance readiness. This role operates at the intersection of engineering, SRE, release management, security, and leadership, ensuring predictable releases, durable incident resolution, and audit-ready compliance with clear ownership and accountability.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of deployment pipelines and release management.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with ADO (Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with monitoring and validating deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL)

Responsibilities

  • Release & Deployment Governance Own visibility and coordination of release trains, sovereign clouds, hotfixes, and rollbacks.
  • Lead Deployment DRI and release readiness syncs to surface build failures, deployment blockers, and readiness risks.
  • Enforce Critical Change Only Advisory (CCOA) processes including exception handling and executive communication.
  • Maintain release calendars, readiness criteria, and deployment tracking to reduce operational risk.
  • Incident Management & Reliability Ensure every critical incident has a completed and scheduled RCA (Root Cause Analysis), or justified downgrade.
  • Eliminate unowned, duplicate, or non-actionable incidents through owner and manager engagement.
  • Shift accountability from individual contributors to manager-level ownership.
  • Participate in live-site monitoring and escalation forums.
  • Shiproom Ownership & Operational Reporting Own the Shiproom operating model as the primary mechanism for operational visibility.
  • Security, Compliance & Audit Readiness Drive visibility and closure of SFI, S360, MSRC, and FedRAMP obligations.
  • Track aging and out-of-SLA items with owners, ETAs, and escalation paths.
  • Translate audit findings into executable remediation plans.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and metrics.
  • Metrics, Dashboards & Continuous Improvement Design and maintain KPI dashboards for incidents, PIRs, repair items, and reliability metrics.
  • Improve signal quality by focusing on trends and actionability.
  • Automate reporting where possible using standardized dashboards and data queries.
  • Continuously refine processes and reporting formats to reduce noise and increase execution velocity.
  • Produce weekly leadership-ready reports covering releases, incidents, KPIs, repair items, and compliance posture.
  • Facilitate weekly review forums to validate data quality and align leadership expectations.
