Requirements

  • Strong understanding of construction principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex construction projects.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience working in the relay, protection, and apparatus construction and maintenance field and/or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leadership in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in management roles.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and support multiple crews working closely with Superintendents, Technicians, and Project Managers across the assigned area.
  • Implement and execute the strategic plan for the assigned area, aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the region and work with the Regional Vice President to capitalize on them.
  • Report out to and collaborate with the Director and/or Regional Vice President to ensure operational efficiency, profitability, and quality.
  • Provide leadership and direction to all employees within the area, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to safety, productivity, and quality standards.
  • Allocate manpower and equipment resources to meet project schedules efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Work closely with the Safety department to ensure completion of required Safety training, crew observations, and execution of Safety initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of safety by promoting and enforcing safety policies and practices.
  • Work closely with Project Management to develop work plans and review overall project performance.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and suggest mitigation strategies to the Regional Vice President and management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners.
